Opera宣布併購SkyFire 強化行動瀏覽體驗

過去應該有不少人對SkyFire有印象，目前這款行動瀏覽器已經由Opera所併購，主要期望以SkyFire對於網路視訊串流播放優化，以及相關雲端運算技術提升使用者行動瀏覽體驗。

根據Opera與SkyFire官方部落格所透露消息，表示Opera將以美金1.55億元的等值現金、股票買下SkyFire，主要希望透過SkyFire本身針對網路視訊串流優化的Rocket Optimizer技術，以及相關雲端運算技術，配合Opera瀏覽器壓縮網頁內容達90%比例的效果，讓使用者在行動瀏覽中可以節省更多傳遞時間與資料傳輸量。

根據Opera官方新聞稿指出，原本SkyFire執行長Jeffrey Glueck將擔任Opera副總，同時SkyFire仍將維持獨立運作，而Jeffrey Glueck也仍維持SkyFire執行長職務，未來SkyFire將會持續釋出更新版本。

相關交易預計將會在今年三月中旬完成，同時包含Opera與SkyFire也將會在今年MWC 2013期間展出，估計將會有進一步消息透露。
