微軟在先前推出採用x86硬體架構與Windows 8 Pro的Surface Pro，除了發現預留儲存空間不足與電池續航力問題外，目前也有使用者反應原廠搭載的手寫筆並未提對應Photoshop軟體橡皮擦、壓感等功能，而微軟官方則對此表示，將與第三方合作夥伴發展完整手寫筆功能。

根據使用者在Reddit論壇網站所反應問題，表示在Surface Pro中安裝Adobe Photoshop時，發現內附手寫筆無法對應使用橡皮擦與筆觸壓感功能，而根據微軟官方說法表示，微軟針對手寫筆提供包含驅動程式與相關使用功能API，不過還是要第三方軟體配合開發、更新才能正常使用。

而隨後Adobe也釋出聲明，目前已經著手進行功能調整，之後將會讓使用者能在包含Photoshop等影像繪圖應用軟體中使用手寫筆完整功能。就目前微軟說法，目前手寫筆功能在Surface Pro預設功能，應該僅只有對應簡單的滑鼠功能。
